Just a friendly reminder, please do not post signs, flyers, etc on painted surfaces around campus including walls and doors.   In addition, if you are going to post anything, the posted material must have the El Rancho Stamp on it (see Lill in activities). 

 

STUDENTS…Please do not use $5.00 bills on the vending machines, refunds will not be issued. 

 

MOTHER DAUGHTER DESSERT – “My Mom My Superhero”…..Will be on Wednesday, March 8 @ 6:00 pm in the ER Cafeteria.  Tickets go on sale TODAY  Tuesday, February 28.   $10 per person, limit 2 tickets per student. There is a limited number of tickets and we will sell until sold out.  Price includes a delicious dessert, entertainment, door prizes and much more.  Photographer will be available for a nominal price.  Limited amount of tickets available first come first serve.  Do not miss out on this once in a lifetime event.  Show how much you appreciate your mom.  Reminder you must have no fines to purchase a ticket, clear your fines.   Sorry no children allowed.

Decathlon Team Heading to Sacramento!.............

Feb 9—Congratulations to the students and coaches of ER's Academic Decathlon team. By placing 8th overall in the LA County competition, the team earned itself a place in the state-level competition to be held in Sacramento in a few weeks.

ATTENTION STUDENTS…Non El Rancho Hats are not allowed on campus. It is a violation of the dress code to wear a non-El Rancho hat. Any students who has a hat will have it confiscated and it will only be returned at the end of the school year. Also, skateboards need to be locked during the school day on the skateboard rack that is provided. Students must bring their own locks. Any skateboard not locked will be confiscated and will only be returned when a lock is produced. Thank you for your support in this matter. 

 

 

JUST A REMINDER ON DRESS CODE…halter, see through blouses or clothing, low necklines, open back tops and tube tops are considered inappropriate. Shorts or skirts which are shorter than mid thigh are considered too short. Printing on clothing that can be deemed offensive is not allowed. If you are found violating dress code you will have to change into school issued attire and the confiscated article of clothing will not be returned until the end of the school year. Repeated violations of dress code may result in suspension.

 

ATTENTION STUDENTS…The District is offering Athletic Accident Insurance for the 2016/17 school year.  The District has made available for purchase, voluntary student and athletic accident insurance through the Student Insurance Company.  The insurance provides broad coverage for 24-Hour, School-Time, Tackle Football and Extended Dental.  All students participating in interscholastic sports (this includes cheerleaders, mascots, bands, drill teams, etc.) are required by the Education Code to have adequate accident/medical insurance.  District procedures require all medical insurance interscholastic participants to certify accident/medical insurance coverage prior to participation.  For more information please pick up form from the Activities Office.

 

SAT WORD OF THE DAY…Incessant (adj. uninterrupted).  The crickets kept up an incessant chirping which disturbed our attempts to fall asleep.

SENIORS…It is time to apply for the Biliteracy Seal.  The application can be found on the Don Page.  The deadline to apply is March 31st.

 

ATTENTION SENIORS WHO WENT TO BIRNEY ELEMENTARY….Birney Dad’s Club is offering a Scholarship, must have a 3.0 GPA and attended Birney Elementary, pick up application from the Activities Office.
