CASHIER’S OFFICE HOURS FOR STUDENTS….You may do transactions before school, during lunch and after school until 3:30 pm.  DO NOT COME DURING CLASS TIME OR NUTRITION TO CONDUCT TRANSACTIONS.  

 

 

MEAL APPLICATIONS….For last school year will expire on September 22.  Make sure you turn in your new application on time.

ATTENTION STUDENTS…Non El Rancho Hats are not allowed on campus. It is a violation of the dress code to wear a non-El Rancho hat. Any students who has a hat will have it confiscated and it will only be returned at the end of the school year. Also, skateboards need to be locked during the school day on the skateboard rack that is provided. Students must bring their own locks. Any skateboard not locked will be confiscated and will only be returned when a lock is produced. Thank you for your support in this matter.

JUST A REMINDER ON DRESS CODE…halter, see through blouses or clothing, low necklines, open back tops and tube tops are considered inappropriate. Shorts or skirts which are shorter than mid thigh are considered too short. Printing on clothing that can be deemed offensive is not allowed. If you are found violating dress code you will have to change into school issued attire and the confiscated article of clothing will not be returned until the end of the school year. Repeated violations of dress code may result in suspension.

 

ATTENTION STUDENTS…The District is offering Athletic Accident Insurance for the 2017/18 school year.  The District has made available for purchase, voluntary student and athletic accident insurance through the Student Insurance Company.  The insurance provides broad coverage for 24-Hour, School-Time, Tackle Football and Extended Dental.  All students participating in interscholastic sports (this includes cheerleaders, mascots, bands, drill teams, etc.) are required by the Education Code to have adequate accident/medical insurance.  District procedures require all medical insurance interscholastic participants to certify accident/medical insurance coverage prior to participation.  For more information please pick up form from the Activities Office.

 

SAT WORD OF THE DAY…. Corroborate (v. confirm).  Unless we find a witness to corroborate your evidence, it will not stand up in court.

If you missed your Senior Portrait there is still time to have your picture in the yearbook.  Call Robert’s Photography at (323) 726-1431 for an appointment.  LAST DAY TO HAVE YOUR PHOTO IN THE YEARBOOK IS OCTOBER 21.  Don’t Delay!

JUNIORS AND SENIORS …..Interested in playing Powder Puff?? – REMINDER – You must be athletically cleared by October 31, no fines and 2.0 GPA.  To be athletically or activities cleared:  you must register with Family ID, Print the physical form, attain a physical (it must have a doctor’s stamp or doctor’s receipt attached), complete the online registration process, return physical forms and receipt from FamilyID to the Activities Office.  Don’t miss out on this once in a lifetime event!
