Are you having trouble keeping up with assignments? Are you just not getting what your teachers say in class?  No worries, the El Rancho Tutoring Lounge has got you covered. Our capable college tutors will do their best to help you with any problem in any subject. The tutoring lounge is located inside the Library Building in room L101. We are open before school at 7:15, during lunch, and after school until 4pm.  . Don't wait, come get help from the tutors.

 

Bell Schedules for the Week
  • Wednesday: Special schedule (no regular classes), minimum day
  • Thursday: Per. 1-6, not a late start...modified for the shakeout
  • Friday (1b): Regular per. 1-6 late start

HEY DONS….Link Crew will be selling BOO Grams in the quad this week for only $2.00.  The grams will be sent out on Halloween, Thursday, 10/31.  Stop by and send a BOO gram to your special BOO!

 

SOFTBALL TRYOUTS…Will be Tuesday, 10/22 and Wednesday, 10/23.  Both days after school on the softball field. Make sure your bring all your necessary gear both days.

 

PINK OUT ROOTER BUS…Will be provided for the Varsity Football game on Friday, 10/25 vs. Cal Hi @ Cal Hi.  Open to the First 50 students that turn in a permission slip.  Pick up slip from the Activities Office.  REMINDER.. ADMISSION PRICE IS NOT INCLUDED, FREE WITH ASB CARD OR $6.00 FOR STUDENTS WITH VALID SCHOOL ID.  GO DONS!!!

 

TRICK OR TREAT FOR HUNGER…Pico Rivera Christmas Basket Committee Presents…Trick or Treat for Hunger Food Drive on Saturday, Oct. 10 from 8:30 am – 12:30 pm meet at the Smith Park Pool Deck.  Volunteer for a good cause.  All collected food are distributed to deserving families in Pico Rivera. 

 

HOMECOMING DANCE PICS ARE IN….Pick up from the Activities Office.

Keep Our Campus Clean: Welcome back DONS! Please help keep your campus looking beautiful and litter free! You will find a trash can within 20 feet of where you are…please use it. We all want a clean respectful looking campus.

 

 

LUNCH APPLICATIONS…Please submit your lunch application ASAP.  Lunch applications from last year will be expiring soon.   Pick up from the Activities Office or submit online.  Thank you.

ATTENTION STUDENTS…The District is offering Athletic Accident Insurance for the 2018/19 school year.  The District has made available for purchase, voluntary student and athletic accident insurance through the Student Insurance Company.  The insurance provides broad coverage for 24-Hour, School-Time, Tackle Football and Extended Dental.  All students participating in interscholastic sports (this includes cheerleaders, mascots, bands, drill teams, etc.) are required by the Education Code to have adequate accident/medical insurance.  District procedures require all medical insurance interscholastic participants to certify accident/medical insurance coverage prior to participation.  For more information please pick up form from the Activities Office.

LUNCH NUMBERS….If you do not remember your lunch see Jane in the Cafeteria.  Freshmen may get their new lunch number from Jane BEFORE SCHOOL ONLY.

JUST A REMINDER ON DRESS CODE…halter, see through blouses or clothing, low necklines, open back tops and tube tops are considered inappropriate. Shorts or skirts which are shorter than mid thigh are considered too short. Printing on clothing that can be deemed offensive is not allowed. If you are found violating dress code you will have to change into school issued attire and the confiscated article of clothing will not be returned until the end of the school year. Repeated violations of dress code may result in suspension.

ATTENTION ALL JUNIORS AND SENIORS…POWDER PUFF FLAG FOOTBALL GAME will be on Thursday, December 12.  To participate you will need to be physically cleared and no fines.  Don’t be left out of this once in a lifetime event.  DEADLINE TO SUBMIT PHYSICAL IS OCTOBER 31st.

CSF CLUB…HEY JUNIORS AND SENIORS…CSF is going to UCLA, Monday, 10/28.  Pick up a field trip form in the College Career Center and turn it is before seats run out.  Non CSF members are welcome too.
