Are you currently working or planning to work this summer? El Rancho will be offering a new Marketing, Sales, and Service Class this summer 2023 for sophomores and juniors who are currently employed. Students enrolled in the class will only meet once a week, and will earn 10 elective class credits. Stop by to see Ms. Ramirez or Mr. Olemeda at the College Center for more information.
Don Dollars are Lavender this month. Turn them in to the Activities Office for a chance to win a prize.
RIO HONDO COLLEGE EARLY COLLEGE ACADEMY….Rio Hondo college gives students the opportunity to take college courses at their high school for FREE. Offering Criminal Procedures, Community relations, College and Life Success, Music Appreciation and American Sign Language. M Questions, come to the College and Career Center.
Students….if you want to see your counselor during lunch, each counselor will be assigned 1 day out of the week, where they will be available at lunch time. Check the announcements board in Student Services to see when your counselor is available.
Thinking of going to Prom…but don’t know what to wear? Stop by the Pop Up Prom Boutique every day at lunch. All dresses available at no charge. Go to the Activities Office for more information.
COLLEGE TUTORS ARE HERE TO HELP!..In Person. Tutoring is available in the upstairs library before school 8am EXCEPT TUESDAYS at lunch M-F EXCEPT Tuesdays after school until 4:30 M-F EXCEPT Tuesday.
EL RANCHO CHEER TRYOUTS…Mandatory Information Meeting on March 14th, 6:30 PM in the ERHS Cafeteria. Important Dates – Applications Due on 4/11. Tryouts Clinics 4/17, 18 & 19. Tryouts 4/20.
NEW STUDENT ID’S…If you are new to El Rancho High School and need a ID, please come to the Activities every Friday, after school to have a ID made for you.
DONS…Help keep our campus clean. Make sure to throw away your trash during lunch in the nearest trash can
Library announcement: Students are required to check out a pass by the end of nutrition if you plan to come into the library at lunch time. Also, don't forget to add the library google classroom for more information.
In person and 24/7 online tutoring available…..In-person and online tutoring at El Rancho High School. In-person tutoring is available to our students before school, at lunch and after school every week day except for Tuesdays. In-person tutoring is located in the upstairs library tutoring room. If a student is struggling on an assignment outside of school hours, remember that they also have access to Tutor.com 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Please take advantage of these opportunities to help you understand academic content and maintain good grades.
CASHIERS/ACTIVITIES OFFICE. Reminder – Cashier’s Office hours are before school, at lunch and after school until 4 pm to conduct business. Cash, cashier’s check, money orders and ATM/Debit cards are the only forms of payment. SORRY – NO PERSONAL CHECKS ACCEPTED.
ATTENTION DONS…Need a poster made for (birthday, Prom proposal, sports etc) Pick up a Order form from the Activities Office. Small $5, Medium $10 and Large $15.
REMINDER…Food sales on campus must be approved. Food items being sold by students or adults may be confiscated.
El Rancho Dons Dress for success : In accordance with ERUSD Board Policy, ERHS students are expected to dress appropriately for the educational setting. The following items are prohibited:
· Any article of clothing related to gang/crew attire
· Hats/Hoods are prohibited inside the classroom
· Immodest or revealing clothing
· Any clothing that contains inappropriate language, symbols or messages
· Jewelry or accessories that could cause injury or be used as a weapon is prohibited.
REMINDER TO STUDENTS…Attendance & Punctuality matter….get to class on time!

As a reminder, ERHS students are expected to follow the Don Code: Respectful, Responsible, and Ready to Learn. Students who do not meet these expectations are subject to removal from any of our events; removal from an event could also lead to suspension and exclusion from future ERHS events. |
ATTENTION ATHLETES….Athletic Clearance forms are available on the Don Page, under Activities. If you will be participating in a sport this year, you must be physically cleared.
ATTENTION STUDENTS…The District is offering Athletic Accident Insurance for the 2022/23 school year. The District has made available for purchase, voluntary student and athletic accident insurance through the Student Insurance Company. The insurance provides broad coverage for 24-Hour, School-Time, Tackle Football and Extended Dental. All students participating in interscholastic sports (this includes cheerleaders, mascots, bands, drill teams, Night Pep Rally skit participants etc.) are required by the Education Code to have adequate accident/medical insurance. District procedures require all medical insurance interscholastic participants to certify accident/medical insurance coverage prior to participation. For more information please pick up form from the Activities Office.
