INFORMATION/DISCUSSION ITEMS
- Student Representative Report
- Mother Daughter western roundup was held the day of our last School Site Council meeting there were many attendees and all mother and daughters enjoyed the drama performance, food and the western dance performed by our ASB boys. Overall the event was a great success.

- Gender wars will be during April 22-26 @ lunch in the quad. Basically it is a fun competition between boys and girls to see who the better gender is. We will be selling shirts 11th -16th for $6 to everyone.

- ASB has also been preparing for the talent show by making posters to publicly it and Eric
- went out and got big cardboard cut outs to make a sign we invite you all to attend to see

- Our Sadie Hawkins Dance was held on March 15th. Because of the circus and carnival theme, there were numerous clubs and organizations that sold food, drinks, and hosted games.
- El Ranchos Multicultural carnival will be held on April 19th. The purpose of this event is also for clubs and organizations at El Rancho to fundraise.

- Our prom theme for this year will be “An Escape to Wonderland” and will be held at the Diamond Bar Center on May 11th.
- Spirit week will be held next week and the themes are as follows:
Mon: Patriotic day
Tues: Twin day
We'd: Crazy hat/hair day
- Thu: Hawaiian day
- Fri: Sports day

- ASB elections for next year’s ASB members will be held on May 3rd, the same day as our annual talent show.
- DAC
- Teresa Villegas shared the meeting consisted of a PowerPoint presentation on the district is transitioning to “Common Core State Standards”. Mr. Genis added ERHS has sending teachers to get trained at LACOE. Mr. Renteria added implementation target date is 2014-15 due to legislation.

- DELAC
- Alfredo Martinez shared that the DELAC meeting had the same regarding the Safe Schools/Healthy Students grant. He also shared there are 2400 English learners in ERUSD. Of those 355 are ERHS students.
- Special Ed. – No Report.
- Administration
- Mr. Genis announced the Boys Varsity Soccer teams are State Regional Champs.
- CST testing will be held April 22nd to May 2nd so that there is no interfering with AP testing.
- AP testing will be on May 6th.
- “Every 15 Minutes” presentation will be on April 17th and 18th. Program based on an alcohol related accident/death. Presentation is done every two years before prom. All are invited to attend the mock accident is on the 17th at 11AM. The mock funeral is on the 18th at 11:45AM. There is a lot of planning that goes with this presentation with the help of the police department, CHP and coroner.

Public Comment
- Teresa Villegas shared that the “Parent Center” is open Thursdays 8am to 11am Teresa Villegas reminded everyone of the Generation First “The Road to College Success for Hispanic Students” symposium to be held at ERHS on March 13th at 6:30pm.
- Alfred Renteria Jr. thanked Mr. Genis for having someone at the gates early in the morning.
- Debbie Goodall shared a concern that her grandson was late to school due to the Montebello Bus lines running late. Mr. Genis informed her that she can write a note to the school to excuse the tardy due to the bus line running late.
- Esther Mejia asked Mr. Genis if the current SARC was published on the school website. Mr. Genis advised that it is published on the district website.
- Alfred Renteria Jr. shared that the Don Booster Club application would be available soon at the ERHS College and Career Center. Nine $1,000 scholarships and 8 $500 scholarships will be awarded to selected qualified students that submit applications/essays.
