Key Club Blood Drive #4

March 31, 2017

Key Club hosted its 4th of five planned blood drives recently. The final one is scheduled for the end of this month, May 31. If seniors donate at least three times during the school year, they get to wear a red cord during graduation ceremonies. The club is now collaborating with a new hospital, Cedars-Sinai, as the previous one, Presbyterian, closed their blood donation center for economic reasons. Amy Rodriguez, the Key Club's president, used a project assignment in her AP Computer Science Principles class to create her own cutom app for the event. It helps her to tally the number of pints collected during the day, and runs on any Android phone.
