WRESTLING TRYOUTS…Practice has resumed. Official tryouts are November 5th.
On Wednesday, November 7, 2018 we will be hosting our annual Cash for College Workshop at El Rancho High School. This event is open to the community. All high school seniors or college students who need assistance applying for financial aid are welcomed to attend. Volunteers will be available in the ERHS Cafeteria between 5pm and 8pm to assist participants with the FAFSA, CA Dream Act application, Cal Grant GPA Verification Form, CHAFEE Grant application and/or scholarships.
Are you having trouble keeping up with assignments? Are you just not getting what your teachers say in class? Are you already stressed about studying for tests even though it's barely the fourth week of school? No worries, the El Rancho Tutoring Lounge has got you covered. Our capable college tutors will do their best to help you with any problem in any subject. The tutoring lounge is located inside the Library Building in room L101. We are open before school at 7:15, during lunch, and after school until 4pm. . Don't wait, come get help from the tutors today.
SOFTBALL TRYOUTS…WILL BE NOVEMBER 7th and 8th at 3:30 pm on the softball fields. Be dressed and ready to play.
Congratulations coach Medrano, his coaching staff and the ERHS varsity football team for winning last Friday night. The Dons beat Moreno Valley HS 50-36. We advance to the next round this Friday night. Let’s make plans to come support our team this Friday night @ 7 pm in our very own Don Memorial Stadium.
Congratulations to Mr. Cordero and our marching band for taking 3rd place this weekend!
Lock-Down / Controlled Release Drill
On Wednesday 11/7/18 we will have a lockdown drill at the end of 6th period. At the time of the announcement, please lock your doors and wait for the announcement to release students. Do not release students until an “All Clear” announcement is made, even if the dismissal bell rings. This drill will start at 2:50 and end at 3:05.
ID’S….If you did not take a ID Picture, you may do so on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday after school in the Activities Office.
LUNCH APPLICATIONS…Please submit your lunch application ASAP. Applications from last school have expired. Pick up from the Activities Office or submit online. Thank you.

ATTENTION ALL STUDENTS.. All locks on the skateboard racks need to be removed at the end of the day, please take your locks home with you on a daily basis. All locks that are left behind will be cut off. Thank you.
ATTENTION STUDENTS…The District is offering Athletic Accident Insurance for the 2018/19 school year. The District has made available for purchase, voluntary student and athletic accident insurance through the Student Insurance Company. The insurance provides broad coverage for 24-Hour, School-Time, Tackle Football and Extended Dental. All students participating in interscholastic sports (this includes cheerleaders, mascots, bands, drill teams, etc.) are required by the Education Code to have adequate accident/medical insurance. District procedures require all medical insurance interscholastic participants to certify accident/medical insurance coverage prior to participation. For more information please pick up form from the Activities Office.
STUDENTS…Please do not use $5.00 bills on the vending machines, refunds will not be issued.
LUNCH NUMBERS….If you do not remember your lunch see Jane in the Cafeteria. Freshmen may get their new lunch number from Jane BEFORE SCHOOL ONLY.

ATTENTION STUDENTS… Skateboards need to be locked during the school day on the skateboard rack that is provided. Students must bring their own locks. Any skateboard not locked will be confiscated and will only be returned when a lock is produced. Thank you for your support in this matter.
JUST A REMINDER ON DRESS CODE…halter, see through blouses or clothing, low necklines, open back tops and tube tops are considered inappropriate. Shorts or skirts which are shorter than mid thigh are considered too short. Printing on clothing that can be deemed offensive is not allowed. If you are found violating dress code you will have to change into school issued attire and the confiscated article of clothing will not be returned until the end of the school year. Repeated violations of dress code may result in suspension.

JUNIORS/SENIORS….FIRST DAY OF POWDER PUFF PRACTICE WILL BE ON NOVEMBER 19 from 3:15 – 5:00pm in the athletic fields. Be dressed and ready to practice. Reminder you must be athletically cleared to participate.
POWDER PUFF CHEERLEADERS…Meeting will be on Wednesday, 11/7 at lunch in room A-201.
DONS 4 CHRIST…Will meet Every Wednesday and Friday at lunch in M-5.
PING PONG CLUB…Will in the Boys and Girls Club Bungalow every Monday and Friday after school.
