LUNCH APPLICATIONS…If you have not submitted a lunch application, please do so ASAP.  Lunch applications that are not renewed will expire TODAY September 21 and you will not  receive lunch.  Submit online on the Don Page or pick up application from the Activities Office.

 

 

Are you having trouble keeping up with assignments? Are you just not getting what your teachers say in class? Are you already stressed about studying for tests even though it's barely the fourth week of school? No worries, the El Rancho Tutoring Lounge has got you covered. Our capable college tutors will do their best to help you with any problem in any subject. The tutoring lounge is located inside the Library Building in room L101. We are open before school at 7:15, during lunch, and after school until 4pm.  . Don't wait, come get help from the tutors today.

 

ID’S….If you did not take a ID Picture, you may do so on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday after school in the Activities Office.

ATTENTION  ALL STUDENTS.. All locks on the skateboard racks need to be removed at the end of the day, please take your locks home with you on a daily basis. All locks that are left behind will be cut off TODAY FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 21.  Thank you.

The El Rancho High School Homecoming Dance…’FALLING INTO AUTUMN’.. will be held at Friendly Hills Country Club, Saturday, October 13, 2018 from 7PM to 11PM. This contract must be filled out completely by each ER student and returned to the Cashier’s Office at the time of ticket purchase. Read all information carefully.

Last day to purchase tickets is Oct 3. Tickets are limited-buy early.  Pricing includes: Admission, DJ, dance, food & beverage.

 

You must have the following items ready when purchasing your dance ticket(s):

 Current school I.D. (See cashier to replace lost or stolen I.D. cards)

 Completed Clearance Form

 Signed contract by you and your parent/guardian

 Signed contract by your guest and his/her parent/guardian.

Picture I.D. is REQUIRED to gain admission to the event. All students must have current I.D.

card.

 

ATTENTION STUDENTS…The District is offering Athletic Accident Insurance for the 2018/19 school year.  The District has made available for purchase, voluntary student and athletic accident insurance through the Student Insurance Company.  The insurance provides broad coverage for 24-Hour, School-Time, Tackle Football and Extended Dental.  All students participating in interscholastic sports (this includes cheerleaders, mascots, bands, drill teams, etc.) are required by the Education Code to have adequate accident/medical insurance.  District procedures require all medical insurance interscholastic participants to certify accident/medical insurance coverage prior to participation.  For more information please pick up form from the Activities Office.

 

STUDENTS…Please do not use $5.00 bills on the vending machines, refunds will not be issued. 

 

LUNCH NUMBERS….If you do not remember your lunch see Jane in the Cafeteria.  Freshmen  may get their new lunch number from Jane BEFORE SCHOOL ONLY.

 

ASB CARDS ON SALE NOW…FOR ONLY $40.00…Free entrance to all home football and basketball games, $10.00 discount on yearbook last day for $10 off yearbook purchase with an ASB Card is February 22, discounts on Formal Dances, and two extra graduation tickets (Seniors only).  Last day to purchase ASB card to receive the two extra grad tickets is April 12th.  Don’t Miss out!

 

 

VARSITY FOOTBALL COMMUNITY NIGHT ON 9/28…. Athletes and students  will be able to attend Community Night for free (on 9/28) must be wearing shirts or jerseys referencing them with the following groups:

-Any school within the ERUSD

-Sports Teams within Pico Rivera, including the Pico Rivera Dons and Donnas and the Twin City Wolverines.

 

We are Dons:  Respectful, Responsible, and Ready to Learn.  Once a Don, Always a Don!

 

 

ATTENTION STUDENTS… Skateboards need to be locked during the school day on the skateboard rack that is provided. Students must bring their own locks. Any skateboard not locked will be confiscated and will only be returned when a lock is produced. Thank you for your support in this matter. 

 

JUST A REMINDER ON DRESS CODE…halter, see through blouses or clothing, low necklines, open back tops and tube tops are considered inappropriate. Shorts or skirts which are shorter than mid thigh are considered too short. Printing on clothing that can be deemed offensive is not allowed. If you are found violating dress code you will have to change into school issued attire and the confiscated article of clothing will not be returned until the end of the school year. Repeated violations of dress code may result in suspension.

SENIORS …WHO HAVE NOT TAKEN THEIR CAP/GOWN PHOTOS…THEY WILL BE TAKEN ON SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 29 AND THURSDAY, OCTOBER 4 IN THE CAFETERIA FROM 9am to 8 pm.  By last name.   No appointment needed.  If you would like to make a appointment at the studio Please call (323) 587-6688 to schedule.  Come to the Activities Office to pick up a schedule of photo times and prices.  Sitting fee is $45.00. 

 

JUNIORS/SENIORS….ARE YOU READY TO RUMBLE?|…Don’t forget to participate in the Don Tradition Annual Powder Puff Flag Football Game.  You need to have athletic clearance, 2.0 GPA and no fines to participate.  Pick up Physical from the Activities Office.  Deadline to submit physical is October 31st.  Don’t miss out on this once in a lifetime event.
