Free formal wear! Come by the main gym for the Social Justice Prom Pop-up any time today or tomorrow.

 

11th grade students, remember to be on time for testing and put in your best effort.  Students who earn 25 Don Dollars each week from testing will be placed in a raffle to win one of many cool prizes!  Today, we have 5 winners for our second raffle.  Each winner will receive a certificate for a free order of fries from Egg N Bird.  Our winners are Gabriella Jacinto, Joshua Posadas, Bryan Rodriguez, Raylene Perez, and Kenneth Hernandez.  Students, please pick up your Egg N Bird prize in Student Services.  We will have another raffle drawing next week, so continue to be on time and do your best on the test!

 

Unified Club Council…..Our monthly meeting date will be TODAY Thursday (4/18/24) during lunch at I-1. A club President or Vice President from each club is expected to attend, as a reminder, I'll oversee our diverse clubs and organizations throughout this meeting as the ASB Chief Justice, and Club Representative. We will also extend the Unified Club Council invitation to include a sports representativepreferably a team captain of each sport

 

ATTENTION ALL JUNIOR AND SENIOR GIRLS….ARE YOU READY TO RUMBLE!  POWDER PUFF FLAG FOOTBALL GAME WILL BE ON MAY 15 AT CALIFORNIA HIGH SCHOOL.  MAKE SURE TO ATTEND AN INFORMATIONAL MEETING ON TUESDAY, APRIL 30 AT LUNCH IN THE CAFETERIA.

Free Bus passes will now be sent to students through their 4th period classes once again. No need to cross the street to Student Support Services anymore. Simply scan the QR code on the flyer in the Activities Office and fill out the request form.

 

 

Read Every Thursday…..El Rancho Dons are College Bound!  Remember to wear your College Gear every Thursday for a chance to earn Don Dollars.  Teachers, please take a moment to issue Don Dollars to any student in your class who is wearing a college t-shirt, polo, or sweater.  Students, check your MiNGA feed for more opportunities to earn Don Dollars.

 

Read Every Friday…..Dons, don't forget to show your Blue Pride every Friday by wearing ERHS gear.  Teachers, please take a moment to issue Don Dollars to any student in your class who is wearing ERHS swag today.  Students, check your MiNGA feed for more opportunities to earn Don Dollars.

CASHIERS/ACTIVITIES OFFICE. Reminder – Cashier’s Office hours are before school, at lunch and after school until 4 pm to conduct business.  Cash, cashier’s check, money orders and ATM/Debit cards are the only forms of payment.  SORRY – NO PERSONAL CHECKS ACCEPTED. 

 

REMINDER…Food sales on campus must be approved.  Food items being sold by students or adults may be confiscated. 

 

School Activities ( New Update-Important Please Read)
Students who violate school rules, violate California Education Code 48900, have suspensions, are tardy (15 or more tardies) or truant (10 or more days) will be placed on a non activity list, assigned Saturday School and will be unable to participate in the following events/activities : Night Pep Rally, Sporting Events (football Games, Basketball Games etc.), School Dances (Prom/Homecoming/Winterformal, etc), and will be unable to participate in Homecoming/Winterbell/Prom Court.

 

El Rancho Dons Dress for success : In accordance with ERUSD Board Policy, ERHS students are expected to dress appropriately for the educational setting. The following items are prohibited:

·  Any article of clothing related to gang/crew attire

·  Hats/Hoods are prohibited inside the classroom

·  Immodest or revealing clothing

·  Any clothing that contains inappropriate language, symbols or messages

·  Jewelry or accessories that could cause injury or be used as a weapon is prohibited.

REMINDER TO STUDENTS…Attendance & Punctuality matter….get to class on time!

As a reminder, ERHS students are expected to follow the Don Code: Respectful, Responsible, and Ready to Learn.  Students who do not meet these expectations are subject to removal from any of our events; removal from an event could also lead to suspension and exclusion from future ERHS events. 

 

 

ATTENTION ATHLETES….Athletic Clearance forms are available on the Don Page, under Activities.  If you will be participating in a sport this year, you must be physically cleared. 

 

ATTENTION STUDENTS…The District is offering Athletic Accident Insurance for the 2023/24 school year.  The District has made available for purchase, voluntary student and athletic accident insurance through the Student Insurance Company.  The insurance provides broad coverage for 24-Hour, School-Time, Tackle Football and Extended Dental.  All students participating in interscholastic sports (this includes cheerleaders, mascots, bands, colorguard) are required by the Education Code to have adequate accident/medical insurance.  District procedures require all medical insurance interscholastic participants to certify accident/medical insurance coverage prior to participation.  For more information please pick up form from the Activities Office.

Attention all seniors who plan on attending Rio Hondo College this Fall: El Rancho HS will be holding a Priority Registration Event on Friday, April 19th from 12-4 PM at the College & Career Center. During this event you will be able to receive free Jersey Mikes, Rio Hondo merch, and most importantly register for your Fall classes. We will have Rio Hondo College counselors, coaches, and staff available to support you with registration. Please be sure to attend! If you have any questions, please visit the Rio Hondo Rep at the College & Career Center.”
